synopsis
Poverty is a massive problem that hinders the progression of the Philippines’ economy, it can’t be gainsaid the destitution mostly experienced by many Filipinos because of the daily scenarios that we always saw, the beggars, the homeless and the families who lives in squatter’s area. There are factors that cause poverty here in the Philippines.
Some factors that cause poverty are the following: Graft, Corruption by the local and national government officials, lack of job opportunities and lack of education.
If there are factors that cause poverty probably there are also effects that greatly impact many Filipinos who are experiencing poverty. These are people who do not have primary needs (food, clothes, shelter and money), lack of formality education, many Filipinos got sick because they do not have a comfortable place to stay and enough money for their own medication and because of these effects, the rate of violence gets higher, because some people do the mayhem to struggle for money. All of these are mirrored in equalities and injustice, among the affluent, national and local leaders, and the poor’s.
This research paper must focus to the informal settlers living beside the railway of Alley 1 Domingo Santiago St. Sampaloc Manila.
The lives of the informal settlers that are living beside the railway were miserable.
There statements mirrored the sad truth of the life of the needy people, and we can say that their life beside the railways is not easy. They have their reasons on why they got there or why they choose to live beside the railway.
We can’t change the fact that every day, their lives are in danger beside the railway but instead of being afraid they still continue their lives to be fruitful and colorful.
Every family has their own dreams that they want to fulfill but sometimes it just stays as dreams like the family in “Home along da Riles”.
